The Mishka Magic

The Mishka (Russian for “Little Bear”) was born in my Phinney Ridge studio out of a simple motherly necessity. As a parent of two young girls, I found myself chasing the magic hour at the park, only to worry about their visibility as the Seattle mist rolled in and the sun dipped low.

I designed this hat for little explorers who aren’t ready to come inside just because it’s getting dark. Inspired by my own daughters and tested on their playground adventures, the Mishka is made to help little ones stay visible so they can keep playing a little longer.

The Maker’s Timeline

• Made to order in my Seattle studio, each Mishka hat is handcrafted with unique pattern placement, so no two are exactly alike.
  

• Please allow 3-5 business days for your hat to be sewn, reflective-tested, and prepped for shipping.

• Once finished, you’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow its journey to your doorstep.

• Made with Stahl’s ReflectPRO vinyl for high visibility and bright light reflection.

• Made with materials tested to meet applicable CPSIA lead and phthalate requirements

• Rated to maintain its brilliant reflection for 50+ home laundry cycles.

• Our logo tags are hand-cut from discontinued leather samples, giving high-end materials a second life and ensuring every hat is unique.  Due to our use of upcycled leather samples, tag colors may vary slightly, adding to the unique character of your handmade hat.

Because every Little Bear grows at their own pace, we offer a wide range of sizes. To ensure the best fit, we recommend measuring your child’s head circumference just above the ears.

Pro-Tip: If your child is between sizes, we recommend sizing up! Our hats feature an adjustable closure to help the hat grow alongside them.
